The Cat Who Sang for the Birds, by Lililan Jackson Braun

Strange things were happening in Moose County and Jim Quilleran was determined to find out why.  Since the Art Center opened there a fire across the street (resulting in the death of 93 year old Maude Coggin), expensive pictures were stolen and an artist went missing.  After a lot of snooping, every day problem solving, a letter from Phoebe (the missing artist) and subtle hints from his cat Koko, Qwill finally solves the big mystery.

I liked this book because there was good mystery and the one who solved it was Koko-a siamese cat!
