Moonhead and the Music Machine, by Andrew Rae

This review was submitted for the Unmask a Book summer reading program:

The book Moonhead and the Music Machine is about a middle schooler named Joey Moonhead who is really in to music.  The only problem is Joey gets picked on because his head is a moon, so he loses his courage about making music.  One day Joey partners up with his friend Ghost Boy and builds a wacky looking instrument that plays really well but it also turns humans into alien creatures.  One of the kids that bullied Joey makes it up with Joey and asks if he wants to partner up and join his dads record studio.  The music producer likes the music and names Joey and Ghost Boy Soul Boys.

I liked this book because I'm into music and the book has a lot of cool illustrations.

Two other books I would recommend are: Diary of a Wimpy Kid AND Big Nate.
