Flora & Ulysses, by Kate DiCamillo

10 year old Flora Belle Buckman saves a squirrel, who she calls Ulysses, from losing his life after accidentally being sucked up by a vacuum.  She finds out that the squirrel isn't ordinary...it can type and fly!  Not only dealing with that Flora has to deal with her parents being divorced, not having her mother kill Ulysses, nice neighbors but her "annoying" great-nephew William Spiver and a bunch of crazy mischief and action packed things Ulysses can do.  Can Flora handle all the events going on in her life?

I liked this book because it also had a lot of different "cartoon" comic drawings inside.

Two other books I would recommend are:  Jake & Lilly AND Smile.
