Dork Diaries: Tales From a Not-So-Talented Pop Star, by Rachel Renee Russell

In the book, Tales from a No-So-Talented Pop Star, Nikki Maxwell has a lot of problems.  First she has to sing on stage at the mall with her sister Brianna.  Her enemy, Mackenzie, puts it on YouTube.  Then Nikki plans on putting together a band for the talent show but her friends just become part of Mackenzie's group.  But Nikki still puts together a band.  Then Mackenzie says mean things to Nikki and her friends joined the band. Right before the talent show there is a rehearsal and Mackenzie messes it up so they get disqualified from the show because they did not have their band name.  So they got to rejoin the talent show.  Mackenzie's group won but Nikki's group got to do something really special!

I liked this book because it was funny.  Nikki eventually solved all her own problems.
