The Loud Silence of Francine Green, by Karen Cushman

This book was heartwarming and touching.  I could not put it down.  It is about a girl who lives near the time when Russians were not appreciated.  She has a friend who is a troublemaker and usually makes the teachers very mad.  Then starts the killing.  People start to think the war with Communists is up again.  It is a very interesting book and I hope you read it.

I liked this book because it was very realistic and the book itself is nice to read.  It makes you feel like you are in the book.

Two other books I would recommend are: Signal AND Pegasus Book 2
