Get Your Game ON! At the Russell Library
Happy day!
Summer reading this summer: summer reading, your way....
This summer we're bringing back online sign-ups for summer reading. Log the books you read and your reviews. Once you start logging your reviews you'll get a notification that you've received one raffle ticket. Click the link to our Summer Reading online sign-up page:
http://ct.evanced.info/russelllibrary/sr/homepage.asp
Prefer the old-fashioned way? Or just love seeing our faces? Come on down and sign-up in person. It's your choice!
Remember: for each book you read, and write a review on, you get one raffle ticket for your chance to win one of our weekly prizes. Read as many books as you want or as few books as you want, but the more you read, and write about, the more raffle tickets you get!
It's Summer Reading, your way....
As a bonus, we're bringing back the wrapped book challenge: Pick a book from our wrapped book display, if you like the description, take it home, unwrap it, read it, write a review about it (make sure you write "Wrapped book" somewhere on your review), and you'll get two extra raffle tickets. If you chose not to read the book, bring it back, and pick one from somewhere else.
So come on down and Get your game ON! at the Russell Library.
Summer Reading registration starts Monday, June 13.
See you soon...

Try your hand at some oldie but goody games; test your skills at something new. Backgammon, checkers, chess & foosball will be some of the games on hand for you to enjoy! Sit back and enjoy a simple game of cards if that's your pleasure. New games will be added periodically.
No registration necessary, just a love of gaming the old fashioned way.

No,
you won’t be eating parsley! However,
you will be playing live action role playing games called “Parsley Games". We
will first explore "text adventure" games, the original. Then we will play the live action version. No vegetables will be
consumed during this program! Due to the
challenging nature of the games, this program is only for kids in the grades
4-6.
Dig in the Dirt!

It’s
our annual Dig in the Dirt! Program. Come dig in the dirt, plant a
seed to start a garden and have a good time. Dig in the dirt to see what
treasures you discover. Take your treasures home in a bag you
decorate. Choose from a variety of seeds to plant: flowers, vegetables or
fruit. Everything you need to start seedlings will be provided for you.
Builders Club

Drop-in, no registration
Come build with your favorite interlocking
blocks! Each week we will have a
challenge, and if you’re lucky, your creation will be chosen to be displayed in
our glass case.
We
use very small builders pieces, so younger folks are encouraged to enjoy our
toddler room during Builders Club.
So come on down to the Russell Library for some summer fun!
